Year 6 Examined the portrait work of the welsh artist Nicola Hope.

By skilful use of pencil and charcoal, she created portraits that tried to reveal the hidden person within.

They were so revealing that they would almost be mistaken for photographs.

The class then took time to sketch each other and also tried to sketch a number of children from year 3.

They used the techniques that they had learned through studying Nicola Hopes work.
